Nascar Sprint Cup Drivers With The Most Fans in 2011
NASCAR has been on a roll the last couple years, and many fans are newly introduced to the sport of Auto Racing. Spectators enjoy being at a race in person and have discovered that Nascar Race Tickets are easy to come by. I started watching Nascar racing in 2003 and soon became a big fan of Matt Kenseth, who was at that point driving the number 17 Dewalt Ford for Roush Racing. idea that Kenseth was different from most of the full time racers, always remaining under control, even if someone may have wrecked him. I was excited that Kenseth won the Champiosnhip that season, even if NASCAR had the need to modify the point system following that season. Matt Kenseth is still a fantastic driver, he is now driving the number 17 Crown Royal car.
Tony Stewart known as “SMOKE” drives the #14 Home Depot car, is also fan favorite. While his attitude is totally different than Kenneth’s, he really knows how to win. He has excelled in every level of suto racing you can think of. From modifieds, to the Indy 500, to eventual NASCAR points, Stewart is the man. He has chilled out somewhat, as he was known to mix it up with the other drivers on & off the tracK. He now seems content to let his driving skills do his talking for him.
How about Jimmie Johnson who had developed into the Michael Jordan of Nascar Stock Car Racing. He has driven his number 48 Lowes Chevy to an incredible five consecutive cup season championships. Not even #43, Richard Petty, managed to do that. Jimmie faces a little backlash, as a few fans are tired of seeing him win. Even those (fans have to give him credit though.
Young gun, Kyle Busch has emerged from his brother’s shadow, having tremendous success in the 18 M & M’s car. The thing I love about Kyle Busch is that he loves to drive. Kyle has driven in all three races, NASCAR SPRINT CUP, Nationwide, and the Truck series. He has even swept all three races in one weekend. He is young, and offers tons of excitement and energy to NASCAR.
The final of my favorite NASCAR drivers is Tony Raines. He is currently looking for a sponsor, but the guy is resilient. Despite almost always beginning in one of the last positions, he maximizes his opportunity. He usually manages to get the most out of the car, even though he does not have the best equipment. It would be really fantastic to this veteran driver get a chance in a sponsored ride in 2011.
The one driver that leads in merchandise sales for Nascar is #88 Dale Earnhardt Jr. The NASCAR season is off to an incredible start, don’t miss the action.
