2011 Top 5 Fan Favorite Nascar Sprint Cup Drivers
NASCAR has become really popular the last few years, and many fans are new to the sport of Auto Racing. Fans enjoy being at a race up close and personal and have discovered that Nascar Tickets are readily available. I started watching Nascar racing in 2003 and soon became a big fan of Matt Kenseth, who at the time driving the #17 Crown Royal Ford for Jack Roush Racing. fact that Matt was very different from most of the full time racers, always remaining calm, even if another driver may have wrecked him. I was very happy that Matt won the Champiosnhip that year, even if NASCAR felt the need to modify the point system following the season. #17 Matt Kenseth is a fantastic driver, he is currently driving the #17 Crown Royal car.
Tony Stewart known as “SMOKE” drives the number 14 Mobile one car, is also favorite. While his attitude couldn’t be more different than Kenneth’s, he really knows how to win. He has dominated in every level of professional racing. From modifieds, to the Indy 500, to eventual NASCAR points, Stewart has done it all. He has relaxed to a certain degree, as he was known to mix it up with the other drivers on & off the tracK. He seems content to let his driving do the talking.
Jimmie Johnson had developed into the Tiger Woods of NASCAR Racing. He has driven his #48 Lowes Chevrolet to an amazing five consecutive Sprint Cup Championships. Not even #43, Richard Petty, managed complete such a task. Johnson faces a little backlash, as a few fans are tired of seeing him win. Even those (fans have to give him credit though.
Kyle Busch has seperated himself his older siblings shadow, having a lot of success in number 18 M & M’s car. The thing I enjoy about Kyle Busch is that he loves to race. Busch has driven in all three races, NASCAR SPRINT CUP, Nationwide, and the Truck series. He has even dominated all three Nascar Series in one weekend. He is young, and brings lots of energy and enthusiasm to NASCAR.
The final of my favorite NASCAR drivers is Tony Raines. He currently does not have a sponsor, but the guy is resilient. Despite regularly starting in one of the last positions, he maximizes his opportunity. He generally manages to get everything he can out of the car, even though he does not have top flight equipment. It would be really fantastic to this veteran driver get a chance in a sponsored ride in 2011.
The one driver that leads in merchandise sales for Nascar is #88 Dale Earnhardt Jr. The Nascar Sprint Cup season is off to an incredible start, catch the fever.
